This place suits me perfectly. It offers 24-hour reception, a welcome drink, and air conditioning. On my first stay, the staff helped me find parking, which I appreciated. I can't wait to return for my next trip!

A small hotel with quiet vibe. The double room with shower in the bedroom, super comfortable bed, for example. Variety of goodies for breakfast. What a very comfortable stay, nothing too much trouble.

Quiet and delightful place, we did not want to leave.
The location was super and unrivalled - adjacent to Largo do Carmo, a tranquil square in otherwise bustling Alfama and many attractions in Lisbon. The staff was polite, and the service was exceptional!

We flew in from Canada and needed a one night stay in Lisbon on our way to a world sporting event in Portimao. I found this hotel on Booked.net and the reviews were very good so I didn't look any further. We did not know the Lisboa Carmo had only opened in July until we arrived. This is smaller boutique hotel in the oldest part of Lisbon - exactly where we wanted to be. We had one day to explore and were able to walk everywhere. This was our first trip to Portugal and we loved Lisbon. The Carmo was wonderful. A small boutique hotel with just what we needed. The room was extremely comfortable, looking out onto a lovely square. The restaurant served a very dinner and had a jazz trio which was a real treat. We were told by shop owners nearby that this old neighbourhood had really received a boost since the Carmo opened. We would definitely stay there again. One caveat; if you want a Hilton with 24 hour room service don't stay here. That said, the Lisboa Carmo was a real find for us. We prefer to experience where we are. And for the ladies there are two absolutely wonderful shops on the same block that have just opened recently. Sapatoria do Carmo - wonderful shoes made in portugal (I bought two pair), and Peles do Carmo - hand made bags and really unique jewelry. I made several purchases for gifts and for myself. These 2 shops outshone anything I saw while out walking and shopping all afternoon. They are owned by a lovely young local couple and the service was unforgettable.
We had to ask for a few convenience items to be brought to the room but other than that we had no complaints whatever.

It was just a smart choice for a hurried visit in Lisbon with the best value for money ratio. The breakfast was superb, and the staff were really kind and helpful throughout my stay. Make sure to check out the outdoor dining options around the hotel square.

Amazing staff, great location!
Spent 3 nights and loved the location near cool squares. The staff were really good, especially in a tough time for us. Had a fab view from our room, and breakfast was a must! A bit noisy at night due to nearby bars, but it didn't ruin our stay.

Very nice beds and fresh rooms. Very nice people in the reception. Central location.
Overdesigned rooms which tended to be inpractical. No room for luggage, bad light, not possible to hang the shower handle, etc. Missed some form of eggs on the breakfastbuffe'.

What did I like? Everything! Excellent location, at a nice square, a few steps from the famous lift, that carries you right to the old centre of Lisbon. Big, clean, well arranged rooms with huge bathrooms (ask for a room with shower, the shower cabins are great). The staff is really great - friendly and helpful. Good breakfast (nowhere have I seen such a choice of fresh fruit). Ask for a room with a view on the third floor: they have balconies and you go to sleep watching St. Jorge's castle on the hill opposite. Fully recommended!

Pleasant Stay with Great Location
The location made it easy to explore nearby highlights like Rossio Station and delicious pastel de nata at Manteigarai. Helpful staff and a lovely on-site restaurant added to the experience. Don't forget to ask for a Viva Viagem card at the desk!
